Bottle Message 1.1.2015

Hope y’all enjoyed the holidays and Happy New Year !!!
here’s where we’re at right now:

KS: Still in the works, aiming to get it ready and released before the summer…

SV: Just finished recording keys for two songs that we’ll release shortly, we didn’t make it before Christmas unfortunately…everyone was too busy doing other shit.

SA: More touring to come, we just announced a short European Tour where we’ll play Ecliptica front to back as well as some other stuff. Our Latin-American Tour keeps on getting longer, we should have the final dates confirmed shortly. Also more festival dates dropping in as we speak…at the moment the plan is to end the tour after the festivals and then have some fime off before we start working on our next studio album.

WB:No clue what’s going on , should probably start harassing Vapola about this since i know he has a lot of killer tunes just waiting to be finished and released…

That’s about it for now, I'll be back when the SA World Tour resumes, at the latest..

cheers,

Henkka

  1. I hope your holidays were better than mine, ahah.

Awww yiss, two new SV songs :D I can't wait! Are we gonna hear Hurtsi's lyrical strengths as he said in the interview, or somebody else's writing?

By the looks of it the 17th in Tre and the show with NW this summer are gonna be the only ones I'll see. Bet you're relieved, lol.

And yes you probably SHOULD get some time off before starting on the next album, but we'll see how that goes :P Let's try not to burn out anybody this time, okay? I mean I am happy to see you guys live a lot and happy to be getting new music at a steady rate but I also worry a little sometimes....

    1. As it looks now, we won't be playing Peru on this years Latin-American Tour...

    2. ...and having said that, of course we had to change some stuff in the routing and Peru is back on the map this time ;-)

  4. Happy New Year, Henkka!! As busy as the Holiday Season was for you, I hope it was enjoyable too.

Holy shiitaki mushrooms! With all that you've accomplished in that one year, I'd say 2014 was an incredible one for you guys. Would you say it's been your best since you've been with SA? I have a feeling 2015 is going to be as big, if not bigger!
Looking forward to KS project #2...of course anticipating what the vocals will be like.;-)...and how different from ATWTP (More Than Rock is currently my ringtone) it will be.

Also looking forward to the 2 new SV songs to be released soon. Maybe it's kinda fitting that they will be released in the beginning of 2015. You know...new year-new material(for us anyhow)...well, at least that's the way I'm looking at it (somehow this paragraph seems like deja-vu)...

Performing Ecliptica(including Mary Lou?) in full should be awesome! Will you guys be rehearsing before the tour, or did you have enough during the recording of E Revisited?

Yes, yes, yes! Maybe you should harass Vapola just a little bit about those WB songs. I was wondering what happened there...last thing I heard was that you were given a 3rd song to play keys for. Looking forward to this project as well!

Of course, I'm wishing you guys continued success for 2015! Btw, what do you think about New Years resolutions? Do you believe in them?

    2. I'm not sure when we'll have the time to rehearse but I'll guess we'll have to make it work somehow....Regarding NY resolutions...people make promises to themselves all the time, that they mostly can't keep so...whatever makes you happy I guess ;-)

      Delete
    3. Well, I'm 100% sure it will all work out fine...You guys normally do rehearse before touring, don't you?...or did I just dream I heard it said somewhere? I suppose seeing as you guys have been playing some songs from that album throughout last year's tour, as well as recording Ecliptica Revisited, you probably won't need to rehearse...I was just wondering if the setlist changed much for the Latin American Pariah's Child tour? Are there any new songs added that you may need to rehearse?...will Punky be touring with you this time? Has Tony given up on video taping your tour adventures? I miss them...and finally, am I asking too many questions? ;-)

Ah yes, those NY Resolutions...this is exactly why I stopped making them a long time ago, haha. I suppose it's a nice idea but you're right. I appears they get broken as fast as they are made most of the time. I say if whatever is meant to be done it will be eventually, and if you really want it. Doesn't really matter when. :-)

    4. For the 15th anniversary shows & the Pariah's Child World Tour we had a total of 3 days of rehersals, anything we add during the tour is rehearsed during soundchecks while on the road. Tony is filming sometimes, not as much as before and Punky will be in Latin America....regarding the setlist for that part of the tour, I have no idea at the moment....

    5. Ah ok, thanks for the answers. I was just curious because it seems like you guys have been/are going non-stop(especially you and Pasi being in numerous bands), so I wondered if you would get the opportunity to rehearse if need be...and I see I'm not the only one a little concerned with over-exhaustion. Your dedication and hard work is ALWAYS appreciated, at the same time we would love for you to remain healthy and happy, so please take care. :-)

Well, I suppose those SV songs will be released any day now. Can't wait!! That pic Timo tweeted of the mixdown on the computer screen the other day only made me wish it were possible to click a play button so we could get a taste...but for now I'll take his word for its 'f*cking AWESOMEness'. ;-)

I've been wondering two other things: Are you all still planning to fit Japan in your 2015 tour? Is your moody Vortex going with you on tour, or are you planning to use something else? Sorry, I'm not sure why I'm so fixed on your keys but...they are like an extension of you...

      Delete
    6. We'll see about Japan, but yeah we should go there in 2015...and don't worry I'll sleep when I'm dead ;-) ...and I'll have to go with the Vortex for now, I'll try to get a new one at some point.

      Delete
    7. Well then, I guess I'll just have to continue to keep the faith that you know what you are doing and won't overdo things. ;-)

Hmmm, it's too bad that you had to cancel your Estonia gig...and it would have been your first one there, if I'm not mistaken? hopefully Japan will have better luck. I'm sure they're missing you terribly...or you can always come back to Canada, after all we are a part of Europe now. :-p

I also hope "Mr. Moody" was cooperative and your first show of the year went off without a hitch. Can't wait to hear about it and the cruise! I'm sure you were itching to get back on stage(maybe a little nervous?)

      Cheers,
      T

Btw, I see the SV web site received another face lift. Looks great!

  5. Hi Henkka!Happy new year for you too! I really wonder How can all of you do lot of stuff everything at the same moment and do it well! . You're awesome. I sincerely expect you can rest a little bit at least and come back to work with fresh air. I'm afraid too much work will tire and bored you too. Have a nice days with family and friends. See you in March. Cheers.

  7. a new album SA ? OMG

    See you in February!
    Cheers and Happy New Year!

  8. Whoops, a slightly late Happy New Year!!! to you and the gang from me, too! :-)
Hope your 2015 started better than mine, let me tell you, walking through NY with the flu is no fun :-/

That short European tour announcement really made me relieved. I was already thinking that the next time I'd get to see you would be late 2016/early 2017 at the earliest, whenever you'd be touring with the new album..... so, yays, and even though it's gonna be Matrix again, see you in Bochum!! :-D Any idea if there will be some more shows added to that tour, or is that it? (Cologne might be slightly more convenient, but I'll take what I can get :-) )

Also, I'm really hoping SV will make it to Europe this year. That would be a treat :-) Will you be going with that "3 hours of Metal Meltdown" thing? Though I haven't seen any dates for that yet....

Yes, I also can't wait for new SV and WB and KS stuff.... yada yada :-P But whatever, take your time, I know it'll definitely be worth the wait :-)

    Cheers and good health,
    Maria

    1. Nope, those announced European dates are the only ones....so they'll be quite special. The 3 hours of metal meltdown...no idea.

  9. Oh, and I forgot to ask!
Will you do a VIP/M&G-thing on that European tour, too?

  10. I would like to file a complaint: for the first time ever SA will play in my in my hometown (Recife, Brazil) and I WILL NOT BE IN TOWN!!!! How do you schedule those things without telling me first? I will be working in the US and I made it so I'd be back in time for the SA concert in São Paulo. Months after I bought the ticket you announce a gig in my hometown. I am so happy and so "oh no" at the same time. I hope you enjoy your time here and kick ass in the show. I've been to a Stratovarius concert at the same venue you'll be playing many years ago and it was very cool. So yeah I will forgive you guys this time, but let's plan it better next year :)

    1. I'll be sure to let our agents that book our shows all over the world know that they have to check with each of our 1,2 million fans on facebook where they will be with for each show that they book and which date would be the best for all of you ;-) ...we might be down to playing 5 shows a year then but whattahell ;-)

  11. Hi Henkka, sorry for the off-topic question. Could you let me know which brand your boots are? The ones you wear on the Pariah's promotional photo shoot. I would love have a pair of those

    Thank you

  12. Hey, semi-professional question about KS: are you gonna release it through Avalon/Marquee again? Do you know anything about EU distribution? If, say, a budding online store wanted to stock/sell it (and ATWTP), should it request it from the labels or ask you directly?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I have no idea yet, if Avalon/Marquee wants to put it out I'll go with them but other than that everything is still open, have to finish the album first ;-)

    2. Oh fine, be all rational and stuff :P it's okay, I was getting ahead of myself anyway, who knows if our store will ever make it to that point. But if it does, when you're done with it, I might bug you again :)

  13. Hi Henrik, I was very thrilled to hear you were going to do a European Ecliptica tour, even more so because the gig in Utrecht is just ten minutes from my student dorm! I'd invite you over for a beer but the place is way too cramped ;)

So I was wondering, is there any chance you will perform 'The Cage' on this tour (or at least in Utrecht) like you did on the North American anniversary tour? I would totally love to see you guys perform that one live ^^

    1. Well, never say never but I don't think we're gonna play the cage during the Ecliptica Tour....at least that's my best guess at the moment.

    2. ah that's too bad, thanks for replying anyway!
